But, apart from this you can also check it yourself. For this, lick your wrist a little and smell it when it dries. ‘

Dr. Namrata Jadwani, the founder of The Smilist, also explained the way to check for bad breath ‘Use a cotton swab or corner of a spoon on your tongue and smell it.’

According to Dr. Jadwani, those suffering from this problem of mouth should first take care of their oral hygiene. He explained how cleanliness of the mouth can be taken care of ‘brush with fluoride toothpaste two to three times a day (ideally one should brush every time after eating). Don’t forget to clean your tongue and keep changing your toothbrush in a few months. Do not forget to clean the teeth with floss. This will also clean the food stuck between the teeth. Also use antibacterial mouthwash about twice a day.

According to the doctor, lack of saliva in the mouth may also be the reason for the stench. Actually, ‘Saliva neutralizes the acid in the mouth while maintaining moisturization and clears the dead cells that have settled on the tongue. With this, you can resort to chewing gum for saliva production. ‘ However, he emphasized that if the problem is more, then show it to a physician or dentist so that he can give medicines for saliva flow. He said that tooth loss or problems in the teeth can also be responsible for the stench.

Relation of health and bad smell

Mouth odor may also point towards a health-related problem. According to Dr. Thakur, “Irritable bowel syndrome, oral cancer, bone disease, tonsillitis, tuberculosis, gall bladder dysfunction, diseases like diabetes are also a problem of bad smell.”

What is Hepatitis? Symptoms, Care and Treatment

Hepatitis is a common terminology for liver inflammation, which can be caused by infectious or non-infectious causes. The viruses responsible for many cases of infectious hepatitis include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, hepatitis D, and hepatitis E. Hepatitis A, B, and E are the only hepatitis viruses whose vaccines are currently available. Vaccine-acquired immunity to hepatitis B is also recommended for immunization for hepatitis D, also known as delta hepatitis.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a partially bi-standardized DNA virus of the hepadnavirus family. Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is a single-standardized RNA virus of the picornavirus family. Both viruses, although they are not structurally related to each other, are infected in liver cells and are primarily diploid.

Symptoms of acute infection of hepatitis A are similar to symptoms of hepatitis B infections. The initial symptoms are headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, rashes, pain and pain in the body, and dark urine. After this stage, Jaundice (yellow-skin and eye-whitening), mild calcification, and liver pain may occur.

Hepatitis B virus can be spread by coming into contact with infectious fluids (such as blood, saliva, and semen) of the body. It can be transmitted sexually, or by sharing equipment used in injections such as needles, sutures, in an infected mother’s baby, contact with an infected person’s open abscesses or sores, and razors with the infected person Or a toothbrush can spread by sharing. Although saliva may be the means of transmission in tooth-biting, kissing is not a major means of transmission of the virus.

The fecal-oral route is the main route of transmission of hepatitis A virus. It can spread through person-to-person contact or through the use of contaminated food or water. HAV is not considered a virus spread via saliva. It has been transmitted through contaminated blood transfusions in a very rare case.

Both viruses are highly persistent and can be contagious for up to seven days on surfaces at room temperature, although in most cases this infection is not responsible for transmission.

Treatment and care

There is no specific treatment for acute infection of hepatitis A and B. In particular, they are treated with supportive care such as rest, fluid management, and pain and fever.

Both hepatitis A and hepatitis B infections can have immediate, fatal consequences. Hepatitis occurs in about 1% of people with severe HBV infections, or severe liver failure. HAV infection also typically takes the form of hepatitis, a mildly exacerbated form of HBV. Up to 90% of patients with sudden hepatitis die.

About 95% of adults with acute HBV infection are healthy and not permanently infected, although in the acute stage they can infect another person through body emissions. Others may become permanently infected – and infect others over a long period of time (in some cases several years) – and are at risk of severe liver disease. For children, the situation is different: a newborn and a child infected with hepatitis B have a higher chance of permanent infection than an adult, and therefore the complications are severe and occur late.

Permanent infection of HBV can cause cirrhosis, liver damage, and liver cancer. HAV infection does not cause permanent infection or permanent liver disease.

Interferon therapy is given in the treatment of chronic HBV-infected patients, which reduces or removes the virus in some patients. Interferon blocks viral replication and increases the body’s immunity to infected cells. Since interferon is an injectable drug and has some potential adverse effects, some patients are advised to discontinue or avoid late interferon treatment or take any of the many oral medications such as lamivudine, adefovir or antecavir. Is given. Treatment is always given and monitored by a clinician knowledgeable of viral hepatitis.

Available vaccines

Hepatitis B Vaccines

There are many hepatitis B vaccines available worldwide, including many combination vaccines. Some parents oppose immunizing their newborn with the vaccine, thinking they only spread through sexual contact or IV drug use. However, newborns and young children are at risk of hepatitis B infection: in addition to the prevalence of hepatitis B in a newborn, hepatitis B has been reported in children in school and daycare settings. The vaccine does not contain any living viruses and is also safe for people with low resistance.

Hepatitis A Vaccines

There are many hepatitis A vaccine drugs available. It can be used as a single vaccine or in combination with other vaccines. Inactive hepatitis A vaccines are widely used, while living debilitated hepatitis A vaccines are rarely used in countries.

Hepatitis E Vaccines

In 2011, a license was granted in China for the recombinant hepatitis E vaccine to be used in people between the ages of 16–65 years. It is recommended for those who are at risk of Hepatitis E infection.

Vaccination recommendations

The World Health Organization recommends that all newborns should be given one dose of the hepatitis B vaccine within 24 months of birth, followed by 2 or 3 additional doses in adolescence.

The World Health Organization recommends that hepatitis A vaccines should be included in national immunization programs in countries where hepatitis A infection rates are high and where behavior is cost-effective.

Inactivation of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine at 1 year of age is recommended, along with a booster shot after several months. People who have not had Hepatitis A and have never been vaccinated, and go to countries where Hepatitis A infection rates are high, may take Hepatitis A vaccine before travel. It is important to take the vaccine at least two weeks before the trip. One time the benefit of taking the vaccine continues for several months, but taking the second dose will provide long-term immunity.

Ayurvedic view for uterine fibroids

In Ayurveda, Uterine fibroid is considered as Garbhashyagata (intrauterine) Granthi (encapsulated growth). The symptoms are similar to the condition “pradara” which is menorrhagia. Uterine fibroids usually develop before menopause and are caused due to an imbalance in all of your doshas, in particular, the kapha dosha. The other doshas are also involved – if there is bleeding, it means the pitta is aggravated, and the uterus being the spot of the apana vata, a fault in the vata is implied.

What is Sarcodosis? Causes, Symptoms and Ayurvedic Treatment

Sarcoidosis is a chronic inflammatory granulomatous disease that primarily affects the lungs, although multi-organ involvement is common or it is a disease in which inflammation produces tiny lumps of cells in organs throughout the body.
The lumps, called granulomas, most often appear in the lungs, but they also can occur in the lymph nodes, eyes, skin or other areas of the body.
A diagnosis of sarcoidosis should be suspected in any young or middle-aged adult presenting with unexplained cough, shortness of breath, etc. Diagnosis requires the presence of noncaseating granuloma. Sarcoidosis may solve without any treatment within a few years. However, some people may have long-term disease.
At the tissue or cellular level, sarcoidosis disease progression can be divided into three phases: The first phase is inflammation.

In phase two, granulomas form. Granulomas are masses or nodules of chronically inflamed tissue or dispose of.

In phase three, fibrosis (scarring) of tissues or organs occurs. If scarring is excessive in a vital organ, sarcoidosis is sometimes fatal.

What causes sarcoidosis?

The exact cause of sarcoidosis is not known. However, gender, race, and genetics can increase the risk of many developing the condition:

  • Sarcoidosis is more prominent in female than in men.
  • People of American-African descent are more likely to develop this diseases.
  • People with a family history of sarcoidosis have a significantly higher risk of getting the disease.
  • Sarcoidosis rarely occurs in children. Symptoms usually appear in people between the ages of 20 and 40(adult age)

What are the signs and symptoms of sarcoidosis?

Many people with sarcoidosis have nosymptoms. Others have only unclear symptoms that can be seen in many other illnesses, such as dry cough, fatigue and shortness of breath, weight loss, fever, and loss of appetite, depression, night sweats, and sleep problems.
Symptoms that may come from problems with a specific organ include:

  • Lungs (Pulmonary Sarcodosis): Dry cough, Shortness of breath, persistence cough, wheezing. The inflammation caused by sarcoidosis may lead to scarring and permanent damage to the lungs, if untreated, and complications such as bronchiectasismay occur.
  • Lymph nodes: Enlarged and sometimes tender lymph nodes, most often in the chest and neck, but sometimes under the chin, arm pits or groin.
  • Eyes (Ocular Sarcodosis): The most common complication being uveitis. Uveitis involves redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes, and can cause vision abnormalities such as floaters. If left untreated, ocular sarcoidosis can lead to complications such as glaucomaand cataractsthat can cause vision loss.
  • Bones and Joints (Musculoskeletal sarcoidosis): Bone lumps (nodules), causing pain and swelling in the hands and feet and sometimes pain and swelling in the ankles or other joints.
  • Spleen and Liver: fever, fatigue or itching. There can be pain in the upper right part of the abdomen, under the ribs.
  • Heart (Cardiac Sarcodosis): Shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing, and chest pain. One may have a feeling of an irregular or fast heart beat at times, or in rare cases even pass out without warning.
  • Salivary Glands: Swelling (which may make the cheeks look puffy) and an overly dry throat and mouth.
  • The Nervous System (Neurosarcoidosis):When granulomas develop in and around the nervous system, the disease is referred to as neurosarcoidosis. Headaches, vision problems, weakness or numbness of an arm or leg, drooping of one side of the face, loss of movement in the arms or legs, weakness, pain or a “pins and needles” feeling.
  • Cutaneous sarcoidosis:Sarcoidosis can cause several skin problems, occurring in about 25-35 % of patients. Examples include:Erythema nodosum, or acute painful red lumps on the lower legs or arms, associated with chronic, painful blue lesions or discoloration on the face, fingers, ears, or toes, Lesions, on the extremities, scalp, back, and buttocks, which can vary in severity from relatively painless lumps and rashes to more severe plaques where multiple lesions have occurred together in the same location.
  • Renal sarcoidosis: Sarcoidosis can lead to kidneydamage, stone formation, or kidney failure. This can be due to sarcoidosis causing changes in calcium metabolism, resulting in too much calcium in the blood (hyperkalemia).
  • Hepatic sarcoidosis: Liver involvement, called hepatic sarcoidosis, is common. However, this rarely affects organ function. In rare cases, it can cause cirrhosis (liver disease), or portal hypertension (high blood pressure in the liver).

How is sarcoidosis diagnosed?

It can be difficult to diagnose sarcoidosis. It may be a form of autoimmune disease associated with an abnormal immune response, but what triggers this response is uncertain. Symptoms can be similar to those of other diseases, such as arthritis or cancer. Doctor will run a variety of tests to make a diagnosis. Sarcoidosis can affect almost any part of the body, and depending on where it occurs, patients can experience very different symptomsand require different treatmentmethods. Doctor will first perform a physical examination to:

  • check for skin bumps or a rash
  • look for swollen lymph nodes
  • listen to your heart and lungs
  • check for an enlarged liver or spleen

What is Ayurvedic View for Sarcoderma?

In Ayurveda, sarcoidosis has not been mentioned properly but can be correlated to the symptoms caused due to the accumulation of ama (toxins) in the body. The ama gets accumulated in the praanvaha strotas due to the vitiation of pitta and kapha dosha which causes an increase in the mamsadhatu that leads to the formation of swollen lymph nodes.
