But some Clinical conditions like ARMD, diabetic/hypertensive retinopathy, computer vision syndrome can lead to vision loss. Hence, it is important to identify and treat eye diseases as early as possible.

AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF BLUR VISION-

ANJANA KARMA-

Anjana is an Ayurvedic paste applied to the inner part of the eyelids.

It is used to promote better eye health and vision.
Anjana is an effective remedy for many eye disorders.
It is used in the form of juice (swarasa), tablet (gutika), and powder (churna) etc.
Anjana has many benefits such as scraping, soothing and healing.
Prasadana anjana calm eyes and makes vision clear and pleasant.

PADABHYANGA –

Padabhyanga is very good for healthy eye.
Every person should need make use of feet massage to increase and maintain the visual acuity.
As per Ayurveda, regular oil massage of the feet can significantly benefit eye health and vision.

AKSHITARPANA-

Akshitarpana is one of the best Panchakarma treatments for the Eyes.
Akshitarpana is a very special therapy to nourish the eye.
It is helpful in clinical conditions such as diminished or blurred vision, cataract, pain, redness, burning in eyes, dark circles, Retinopathy, dryness of eyes(loss of lachrymal secretions), watering of eyes and weakness of eyes etc.

SHATKARMA-

Ayurveda describes shatkarmas (6 purification methods) to expelled out toxins from the body and strengthen it and make it free of diseases.

HERBAL EYEWASH-

Triphala Eyewash

Take half a teaspoon of organic Triphala powder and mix it in a cup of boiling water.
Let the solution cool down, and then strain the particles with a clean cloth.

Now dip a small towel in the solution and place it over your eyes.

Blink frequently to enable the solution to enter your eyes.

You can soak your eyes in the eyewash for around five minutes and pat it dry. It is recommended to do it before going to bed.

Rosewater Eyewash

It is commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
Rosewater gives soothing and calming effects. Use a dropper to apply rose water to your eyes.

Cool water wash

Ayurveda recommends splashing cold water on the eyes when washing your face in the morning.
Cool water wash makes your eyes feel fresh.

EYE EXERCISES-

Yoga exercises have the potential to maintain the optimum health of all our organs Set aside a few minutes in a day to perform simple eye exercises like moving them up-down, sideways, and in clockwise-anticlockwise directions. Regularly practicing these exercises can help to relax the eye muscles and make them healthier and stronger.

Palming-

Instructions:

It is an ancient yoga relaxation technique not an exercise similar to meditation.
Sit quietly in a dark room with your eyes closed and take a few deep breaths to relax.
Now Rub the palms of the hands vigorously until they become warm
Place them gently over your eyes.

Feel the warmth of the palms being transferred onto the eyes and the eye muscles. You will feel instant relaxation.

Keeping the eyes closed, lower your hands.

Repeat this procedure for about 3 times.

Blinking –

Instructions:

Sit comfortably and start witbh your eyes open.
Start blinking quickly for ten seconds
Close your eyes and relax for 20 seconds Also, pay attention to your breathing.
Repeat this exercise at least 4 to 5 times.

Side-ways viewing-

Side-ways viewing exercise helps to stretch your eye muscles and relaxes your eyes.

Near and distant view-

Near and distant viewing helps to train an organ called the ciliary body, which improves quality of the vision.

Rotational viewing

ADEQUATE SLEEP-

Restful is important for a healthy life.
During sleep, your eyes get the rest needed to retain their functional capacity.

Drink two teaspoons or ten grams of the mixture with a cup of warm milk.
